How can I make DD's birthday special?

Posting here for traffic

DD's turning 16 later this month. She had plans for a party with her friends but obviously not happening now (she'll probably facetime them but it's just not the same). So far the only thing I've thought of is getting takeaway pizza but at the end of the day it's just pizza. You only turn 16 once and I really want to give her a good birthday Sad

Can you do a “cocktail” making class with her? (Your choice whether to add any alcohol, but you can get some good alcohol-free spirits and the like nowadays). Maybe some pampering?

Following with interest, although it is my DS who will be 16 in a weeks time

balloons, fill a room, with balloons overnight.

Get a pizza recipe and the ingredients but make sure a few of her friends have exactly the same so they can cook along on zoom.

Use Netflix party mode for them to se a film together - have ice cream and coke in take away drinks containers ready at home and with her friends.

Pass the parcel on zoom, again you will have to have a parcel at each person's house so there will be 'virtual' passing of the parcel and live unwrapping.

Get a plain T shirt and fabric paints, you can get a mixture of colours from Baker ross send the T shirt round her friends with the paints for them to put messages / drawings.

Is she an only child?

16 gifts numbered 1 - 16 - very small things (sweet 16!) to any presents you had planned at the end.

Do an at home spa day with her. New fluffy robe. A selection of pampering stuff..face masks etc .. a nice scent burning in the room from a diffuser or candles. Mocktails and a good movie while u sit with your feet in a nice foot soak..then a cake with sparklers and munchies. It can be as expensive or inexpensive as u want to make it depending on what u buy.

I ordered a huge balloon on Etsy for my daughter's 15th with her name on and also got helium balloons and a filler from Amazon. Filled the room. Big cake from ASDA with specially made top with her name (again Etsy). Fountain sparklers on the cake.

Came to about £100 tops all in and it looked fantastic. She was thrilled. All about insta posting and it looked fab. Wink
