Alcohol blood test?

Hi posting here for traffic.

I've been asked to go for a blood test which I have been told will tell how much I've been drinking and how long for. Does anyone know the name of this test and does it show after 4 weeks abstinence?

I'm not sure what the test is called but I know a collage had to have one to get her driving licence back after a drink driving offence and I think it could show up to 12 weeks previously. Needless to say she didn't attempt to change her habits (even drank the night before the test) and didn't get her licence back:

If it is the CDT test I think it should have normalised by 4 weeks.

Thanks everyone. I wasn't told the name of the test it seems it is cdt. I drank quite heavily and now abstaining so I wasn't sure whether the abstinence would show or it will just detect there have been large amounts at one point. The woman didn't explain it very well and almost made it sound like a threat lol.
