Am I being dramatic? Mole on toe

Hi all, posting here for traffic as panicking.

On Christmas Eve I noticed what I thought was a blood blister. It did look purple. Now a slightly different colour and now more like a mole. Sure it hadn’t been there long when I noticed it first.

I’m 29. Fair, freckly and a red head so do get concerned over moles

I’ve attached two photos. Apologies if my toe disgusts anyone. I have a weird misshaped toe as I’ve dislocated my little toe numerous times and I cannot grow a proper little toe nail! 🤮

Do I need to be concerned? Shall I contact the doctor or am I being dramatic?

I’d get it checked out just to put your mind at rest x

I think it's a blood blister - they do change colour as the blood absorbs and they can take a while to disappear.
But no harm in getting a doctors appt and asking if a dr will take a look at a photo.

@CrocodilesCry it did look like a blood blister initially. I took a pic of it on 24th dec and it definitely looked like one but less so now. Can blood blisters last 2 weeks though? Google says 1-2 weeks!

I had something on my hand and paid 50 GBP to get it checked. I'm glad I did but it was blood under the skin. Google bad looking moles. Even if this is one, it's not misshapen for example, which is one of the signs for skin cancer. It's not that dark either etc. But still go to put your mind at rest. I couldn't leave mine. In the end it just disappeared. It's very worrying but if it's a bad one and they catch it early, it should be fine. I know quite a few people who've had moles removed and they were even cancerous ones and they're fine. It's just not good to leave them.

Ring your GP and send these pics. They're very clear ! H

Thank you. I was thinking of doing an e-consult online which my gp surgery offers! I did similar a few months when I had some severe dermatitis I needed steroid cream for. Save the hassle of ringing up and speaking to the receptionist. You just fill in a form, add photos and the doctors rings you back!

Even better ! Don't worry, stay calm for now. Mine looked like just a speck of blood at the start and then when it just didn't go away after two weeks I really freaked out, so I totally understand ! I made an appointment at a private mole check place the next morning at 9 am ! I did feel stupid when they said it was blood. But I was glad. I then picked it off when I got home. It's only just healed. You'll be OK. These things can be dealt with. Especially when looked at early. For what it's worth, it doesn't look like a bad one to me- but I am not a doctor. I just asked google.
