Paying for a contract when I haven't got the phone

I upgraded my phone contract with THREE beginning of December for the new iPhone 12 which was due for delivery today (6th January) I then got a msg this morning stating it had been delayed til 25th January.
My old contract ended in December so I'm now paying nearly £60 a month for a contract that is technically a sim only deal which is around £20 a month.

I've spoken to numerous people at 3 today and got nowhere, 1 offered me £5 when technically I should only be paying for my calls, msgs Internet as why should I pay £40 for a phone I can't use!

Aibu complaining about having to pay for a whole month of a contract when they are not fulfilling their end of it?

I went round and round in circles with three today and now I don't know what to do?

Ask for the breakdown of what the contract is and what the phone payment is and ask for the phone part to be refunded presume you can use the sim in your current phone?
I’m with three you do have to be very persistent but eventually they are helpful
