Serum progesterone confusion

Hi everyone.

So I had a serum progesterone done 7 days after a positive LH ovulation test and 7 days before my anticipated period. I have PCOS so I work out when to have the test based on knowing my luteal phase is 14 days long.

My Dr's receptionist has passed on my results verbally saying they are 16-29. I dont know what unit they are measured in (whether it's Nmol/ml or Ng/ml). Reading other forums, everyone seems to have a single reading so I'm not sure why mine are within a range? Any ideas?

I've read that 30 nmol/l is considered a normal sign of ovulation, so I assume i haven't released the egg?

If I convert 16-29 nmols to Ng/ml, my results would be 5.03-9.11 ng/ml (normal range apparently 10-20).

The note left with my results said indicative of luteal phase. I can't get hold of a Dr to properly explain my results.

Thanks 😊
