DO NOT USE Lily cuddles website

I bought a cot from the lily cuddles website. After putting it together the space between the mattress and the sides was too great and seemed unsafe. I have been trying to return this product for MONTHS. They do not answer emails. I have spoken to them a few times but now they have gone silent. Im down £130. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. I dont think i'm being unreasonable, just want to warn others as their website doesnt publish reviews that you put in.

Contact Trading Standards, if the product is dangerous, it should be removed from sale, before a baby gets hurt, and hopefully you will get your money back. Did you pay by CC if so you will have some protection, call the CC if so.

Cots have to meet British safety regulations. Measure it and if it doesnt you could try to claim your money back from your bank.

Did you pay via credit card? You could try doing a charge back?

KatieGGGG · 05/01/2021 15:21

S70 refund if cc card. Can try a chargeback if debit card but that’s discretionary.

Lockdownbaby20 · 05/01/2021 15:25

When i spoke to Lily cuddles they said they had contacted the manufacturer of the product to relay the safety concerns and determine if the product should be recalled. From that point i havent had any updates. Didnt pay with CC im afraid :-(

A friend of mine bought shoddy goods online which were not as advertised and amounted to well over 100 pounds. I told her to contact her bank in the faint hope they'd help. They did and refunded her money. I know she had to send them info and photos of the goods and i have no idea how the bank were able to retrieve the money but they were really helpful.

Did you buy the mattress separately or was it included? £130 is really cheap for a cot and mattress to be sold together. If you bought a mattress separately it’s on you for buying the wrong size. If they sold the cot with the mattress, would it not just be easier to buy a mattress that fits the cot?

My sister had a lot of trouble with a bed and mattress she bought from Next online. Missed collections, unanswered emails, deliveries with bits missing etc. In the end she went to Citizens' Advice and with their help got it sorted fairly easily.

Are you sure they're still operating? Their FB hasn't been updated for over six months, and the phone number just rings out.

Also every product I click on is out of stock, and lots of reviews from people who haven't received orders.

How did you pay for it?

Lockdownbaby20 · 05/01/2021 17:39

With debit card. I will try and get the money refunded from my bank. Thanks for all the advice :-)
