Petition to stop HS2

If you think it worthwhile to get them to think again there is a petition. I cannot do the link but if people sign online and spread the word enough it may be worthwhile

I wonder if it needs to be reconsidered given that more people are working from home now, so fewer rail journeys. I hope so. It's a disaster for the countryside it is intended to cut through.

Well that is the point of the Packham petition including the need to re-legislate. Throwing good money after bad is never wise for anyone in any circumstances. Major raids on the public purse credit card are invariably just endless waste, delay, failure. Boris has form.

I wish someone would re-post in the correct way, because I don't know how to do this in the right way, but even if nobody cares about the climate emergency, someone somewhere must care that a blank cheque has been written for a logic defying vanity/mates-enrichment project. It is exactly the equivalent of standing guarantor to meet every possible future debt for a gambling addict.

There's no such thing as 'government money' every wasted penny comes out the only money available for every need the public, including themselves and their family, for the rest of their lifetimes.
