to ask for help with my first Tesco Click and Collect Order?

With the number of cases really rocketing up where I live (apparently one the supermarkets is having difficulty getting enough staff to keep the shop open because so many are either ill oir isolating) I have decided to dip my toes into click and collect.

Have registered this morning, booked a slot for collection and ordered my groceries. Since then I went on to add something to the order and noticed that an earlier slot has now become available. I have booked that as well. So, does anyone know if there is some way I can transfer my order to the earlier day without ordering everything again from scratch?

I dont want to take up an unwanted slot for any longer than necessary so would be most grateful for any suggestions.

TIA

You would normally have to change your existing slot to the new one to keep your order and not start again. I stop with Sainsburys and often change my slot from my existing order (well I used to when I could get slots easily!)

Log out and log back in again - make sure you have pushed any update buttons and gone back through checkout and it should transfer you to your new time slot.

Thank you for those suggestions, but when I try and change the date for collection it is saying that the earlier slot is no longer available, so I guess I need some way of saying that I have already booked a slot for the earlier date and just want to transfer my shopping. Do you think I need to ring up and ask them to do that, at the office. I don't want to end up loosing both slots as they are, of course, going very quickly.

Can you save your shop as a favourite, then go to earlier slot, add your favourites, should be more quick than starting from scratch, then cancel the later order. In future try to change the slot rather than placing a new order

Oo - good idea, I'll give that a go.

I knew someone here would know.

Many thanks.

Also, make sure you make new bookings for the next 4 weeks (not while you're in an actual order!) then each time you get your delivery book the next one for four weeks time. I've had the same day and time delivery for months by booking in advance.
