Head lice treatment

I noticed a head louse on my daughters head and had a bottle of Hedrin Treat & Go in the cupboard so I’ve used it on her hair. I just looked at the bottle and the use by date is December 2019! Should I rinse it off? Posting for traffic really as I was planning on leaving it overnight but will have to stick her back in the bath. I’ve googled and can’t find any info on it. It’s not chemical based more of an oil that suffocates the head lice.

Oh,

Yanbu = leave it overnight!

I would just leave on overnight and nit comb everyday for next week then re treat

I can’t be sure but it’s not likely to cause her any harm, might just be less effective. So I would say keep it on.

I highly recommend the nitty gritty comb. I don’t rate Hedrin etc.

Thanks! Phew that’s a relief. I’ve got a nitty gritty comb too which i use every time we wash hair instead of treatment (probably why the shampoo is so out of date!). No idea where the nit came from, I’m actually doubting it was one now Grin but hey ho it’s done now.
