I know this is reality for some but feeling a bit sad already after a shite 2020 and aibu to say that this just didn't help . DS took an overdose in August all on now but had to switch off .

I don’t think eastenders is known for its uplifting storylines to be fair

MrsMouse03 · 31/12/2020 22:20

Fair point I guess I should have steered clear Confused

Because it’s usually such an upbeat inspirational show.

Sorry to hear about your ds, glad he’s ok now and hope he continues to improve

Mindymomo · 31/12/2020 22:24

Stopped watching it when there didn’t seem to be any good stories, such a shame as it used to be so good. Not really what I want to watch at the moment either.

BubblyBarbara · 31/12/2020 22:28

I think they could change the tone of the show given the national mood. Drop the murders and domestic abuse stuff and ramp up the affairs and sexual tension. I’d love to see more of them bonking each other and causing trouble!

ViciousJackdaw · 31/12/2020 22:43

It was obvious that things with Mick were coming to a head. There were small moments of joy though - Sharon wearing something other than black, the return of Lee and Kush sneaking off with Arthur whilst Kat partied in the Vic. After the way both Bradley and Abi died, you'd think someone would have put a guard rail on the roof of the Vic though.

MrsMouse03 · 31/12/2020 22:54

Vicious lol very Remiss of them haha. I know not often a cheery watch but seriously on NUE Hmm

I thought it was excellently done. For the Charachter to finally acknowledge that he was abused is huge and I thought it was done so well.
I agree on the timing and we need something a bit more uplifting though, seeing a good conga would have done it for me!

MrsMouse03 · 31/12/2020 23:29

I think it was the timing more than anything but I did switch off so no harm done Grin
