It would be very helpful if you could put the date in the title, rather than 'today' as when looking using a mobile, it doesn't show the date and if you see a 'today at 5pm' and its 11am, is that today's announcement which will be happening or is it yesterday's one??

Why don't you just click on the thread and see when it was posted?

Thread titles are often garbled enough without people having to time and date them.

I'm only talking about ones talking about announcements and such like, not all posts

But why can't you just click on the thread and look for yourself?

Flaunch · 30/12/2020 15:24

Just look at when it was posted.

I'm not always interested in the announcement yesterday, but interested in speculation on the announcement later this afternoon.... or the other way round.....

Yabu in that you cant enforce people to put things to suit you.

But I do agree that it wouldn't be much more effort or any more messy to put
'Boris Announcement 5pm 30/12' instead of 'today'

I don't tend to frequent these posts anyway but I wonder if the next day, and they are still active whether they end up with lots of 'another one???' 'We had one yesterday???' 'What's gone wrong overnight?' as people don't completely read the thread, let alone the date.

You make perfect sense OP, but it will never catch on.
