To be dispirited that

none of the lockdown measures appear to be working.
I am not in the UK, but we have been locked down again since 16th December, however infection rates are still rising. How?

None of the lockdown measures work unless they are actually 1. actual lockdowns without loopholes and exceptions and 2. followed.

The places that managed this have managed to get cases under control. The places that create exceptions or where lockdowns are being largely ignored, of course it's not working.
