Dolce Gusto Coffee Pods - anyone else had this problem?

Not an AIBU but cannot find any help online; hoping someone on here has had the same problem and can advice.

We received a Dolce Gusto coffee machine for Christmas - made a coffee today and when I removed the coffee pod it seemed still very full.

Should this happen or should the pod be empty..!? Never had a coffee machine before so any advice would be helpful!

Thanks

I sont have one, but would assume the pods are filled with ground coffee? Then they would be left in pod?

That's normal.

I normally leave the used pod in the sink to cool down , then I drain out the liquid with a knife before binning.

They are heavier when you've used it because it is full of wet ground coffee, as apposed to being full of dry ground coffee before you use it. It should feel heavier afterwards! The coffee grounds don't actually come out as such, but the water filters through them making the coffee.

That makes sense - thank you for the responses. At least I know there is nothing wrong Smile
