Any tech people? Child’s gaming PC.

My middle child got a much sought after gaming pc for Xmas. All was going well until she tried to turn it on this afternoon and it gets to the sign in screen. She puts in her code and then it freezes and goes blank. We checked all
Connections and tech support not available at mo. Any ideas what could be wrong and if we are able to sort ourselves?

Feel so sorry for her as her one and only Xmas present is currently unusable.

Presume you’ve switched it off and left it a few minutes?

And does it let you sign in as a guest?

You would need to specify the model/make for further help on this

I should add, I’m not an expert at this sort of thing, only clicked in case you wanted a recommendation as we bought two for Christmas.

My suggestions are the very basic ones

What is the make and model, and what is the operating system? What is the code you're referring to and where did it come from? There should be quick start instructions which came with it which I presume you've followed and are getting stuck at one particular stage?

Does it start correctly in safe mode?

If you cannot log into Windows 10, but you can get to the Sign In screen, press and hold the SHIFT key on the keyboard. With this key still pressed, click or tap the Power button and, in the menu that opens, click Restart.

Google solutions on another device. This is what ex does. I tend to panic and shout ring your dad....he knows what terms to Google for and can interpret the results better. I am getting ds trained up to be the next technician.

It’s this one. The code is the password. She gets that far and then it’s a black screen. It has no option to sign in as a guest. It was working beautifully since Xmas day. Just this afternoon it went wrong.

Random chap cant get to windows to log in but will try that in a bit.
