Posting here for traffic. 5 year old DD has sucked her thumb since the day she was born. Very calm baby etc.
We’ve had numerous attempts at stopping the thumb sucking but we are approaching the point where it’s starting to push her bottom teeth back.
Dentist has said to use stop and grow which doesn’t seem to work - especially with the amount of hand washing going on at the moment. I’m trying positive reinforcement etc.
DH says not to worry - it’s baby teeth etc and she’s happy etc
I’m now considering carrying the stop and grow and repainting it every time we sanitise/wash hands. AIBU? Overkill? Any suggestions gratefully received.
