Sore throat and reduced taste.

For a few days I’ve had a sore throat, nothing extreme and I’ve not felt poorly at all. Just annoying more than anyway. I can smell fine but my taste is a bit off. Can taste but it’s a bit bland.

I’ve had a covid test - due to change in taste and it was negative.

I’ve had loss of smell and taste with a bunged up nose before but not a sore throat.

Is it normal? The problems with my taste seem to come and go. I can taste flavours but things are just a little more bland than normal.

Does sore throat affect taste like this? Anyone else had the same?

Yes, just this week (plus a cough and burning sinuses). My test was positive.

I am experiencing exactly the same thing, except I am also having coughing fits here and there. My COVID test came back negative too.

I am not convinced the test result is correct! (But it probably is and I have a different type of virus)

Thank you. A false negative did cross my mind too but the whole house here has cold (DS has been tested due to cough and negative) so it is likely just a cold but I don’t feel congested at all. I can taste it’s just a bit bland!

I feel fine otherwise. Not poorly at all!
