I have seen with interest the videos that show representations of clouds of coloured air by people's breathing zones, to encourage us to avoid indoor gatherings or at least to open the windows, and to wear masks.
I wondered how far we are from something like this in real life - where you could spray the air and the spray would change colour instantly or at least very quickly if the Covid 19 was present in the air.
It would be like those disclosing tablets you put on your teeth to show plaque (but quicker). Or any other detecting method used in biology/medicine.
So there would be two challenges:
- getting the sprayed liquid to detect the covid 19
- getting the detection of the covid 19 to trigger a colour change.
Does anyone have any background knowledge to take this idea further? or has it been done? I have no doubt there will be some pending patents in the system already.
