When will the English Channel reopen?

I'm trying to buy some stock for an online shop I'm opening (great timing I know) but cannot get standard shipping as the channel is closed. Air shipping is 3 times the price. I know prices will go up anyway due to Brexit/Covid but hopefully standard shipping will still be cheaper than by air. Anyone care to hazard a guess?

I thought it was only closed to lorries leaving the UK? I don't understand why it's affected goods coming in.
