DH thinks it’s ‘as much above as below’. I think it’s ‘cram as much into the spoon as poss’.

I’m more of your school of thought... though I suspect your DH is right

RogueV · 22/12/2020 19:58

Agree with you

BonnieDundee · 22/12/2020 19:59

Agree with you. From what I was taught in home economics a very long time ago.the spoon on the left is rounded, the one on the right is heaped

FreezerBird · 22/12/2020 20:00

I think your DH's is a rounded spoonful rather than heaped.

Yours is maybe a bit much though!

pigsDOfly · 22/12/2020 20:03

It rather depends on what is on the spoon I suppose.

If it's a heaped spoonful of something tasty you're spreading on your toast or over your pudding then go for it, but for cooking purposes a heaped spoonful would be as your DH describes. Your 'spoonful' is way too big and could potentially have an impact on some recipes.

I agree with your DH and think you're trying too hard (though admire your effort!).

emwithme · 22/12/2020 22:09

Left is rounded, right is heaped.

SebastianTheCrab · 22/12/2020 22:21

I think it's in between the two
