There is a council house at the end of my Rd that has not been lived in for 8 months
The Tennant has been given an exclusion order by the courts which means they can’t come back to the street for 2 years , this is unusual thing for the courts to do but this is an unusual case.
How long can this empty house be kept in his name as the tenant . Don’t you have to live in the house In order to keep it
I am 100 percent sure that the Tennant is still claiming housing benefit for the house and his personal benefits while “ sofa surfing “ at friends and family and there is no other family member living or caretaking for the house . I have absolutely no doubts about the above .
Would the council take this seriously if i reported it I know that they get a lot of malicious and false claims .
I have the courts reference number for the case
So that they can check that the tennant can’t legally enter the street and therefore can’t live in his house
He is also not under any of the circumstances that would mean they can get the rent paid while not living at the house like being on remand in prison,
