Lived in the house for 14 years. No major issues so haven’t had much contact at all, maybe once/twice a year.

The house was already dated when we moved in but haven’t asked for new kitchen/bathroom/carpets etc.
I know they rent at least another 5 other houses that are old family properties, definitely no mortgages to pay. I estimate an income of around £6000 pcm.

AIBU to be bloody fuming that when the boiler packed up on Friday night the tightarse git wouldn’t pay the weekend call out charge for an engineer to come out?

I’ve paid for logs, coal and electric heaters all weekend, they have saved a few quid Hmm

Unfortunately that's normal and a broken boiler doesn't count as an emergency. They should sort it within 2 weeks - that would be considered "good" in my experience .
I agree it's annoying. We had no heating or hot water for 2 weeks and a 3 month baby, in December. The agents advised us to buy electric heaters and there ended their responsibility.

2 weeks!! I’ll be going mad tomorrow if someone doesn’t come out to look at it.
We’ve never caused a fuss about anything before, we sort a lot of things ourselves and keep the house and garden in good condition.

But I hate being cold!
