To ask if the ghost covid notifications are still a thing?

Sorry - this is for traffic and I know I could post in coronavirus but I wanted to get as much info as possible.

I got a notification from the covid app about a contact but when I clicked on the notification and the app there was nothing.

Has this happened to anyone else? I know it’s happened in the past but is it still a thing?

I had quite a few of them at the start when the app was first released but haven't had anything from the app at all in a long time (including twice when I definitely should have!)

My app went off as I have a tier change could it have been that rather than a contact?
