To think it's normal to not like my skin to touch my skin

Just that really!

I dont like the feeling when my skin is touching my skin eg having my legs together in bed without material between them, folding my arms or allowing under boob to touch chest skin. Things like that or am I weird?

Well i don't always feel like that but sometimes yes absolutely! It can be uncomfortable.

LoveMyKidsAndCats · 19/12/2020 01:01

Oooo I love rubbing my feet together in bed

NiceandCalm · 19/12/2020 01:36

I can't stand my legs touching in bed! I stuff loads of duvet between my legs and I also can't stand my arms by my side. Glad I'm not the only one. I'm a nightmare to sleep with. I can do about 5 mins of a cuddle and then have to move away. I'd love to take my limbs off, that would be bliss, lol.

SleepingStandingUp · 19/12/2020 01:40

Erm, yes. A bit. But that's ok

I'm exactly the same!

FluffySocks75 · 19/12/2020 02:54

I'm opposite

Notarealmum · 19/12/2020 03:37

No, I completely understand it - it just feels too.....fleshy...

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 19/12/2020 03:44

Yanbu. I'm another who uses the duvet as a leg divider. I actually don't sleep under my duvet. It's purpose is purely to keep my legs safe from each other.

Its even worse when its hot. Ex thought I was weird because I didn't like to be naked in a heat wave

Dickensnovel · 19/12/2020 04:45

Pajamas?

PaperMonster · 19/12/2020 07:27

I’m not like this all the time, but yes I do feel that way sometimes. Been feeling that way a bit recently so it might be connected to fatigue with myself, I’ve never really monitored it to see if there is a connection.

Pandabuzz · 19/12/2020 07:51

I’m the same as you OP! I always put a pillow between my legs when I sleep to avoid them touching

vampirethriller · 19/12/2020 07:55

I can't have my feet or legs touching in bed and my ears have to be covered!

NotSoSecretSanta · 19/12/2020 08:07

I hate my legs touching too, thought it was just me so I'm glad I found this thread!

happytoday73 · 19/12/2020 08:12

Erm yes... Bit of an odd thing to have an issue with/not going to do you any harm.

But as PP says... Everyone's different

LunaLula83 · 19/12/2020 08:16

Very weird

Plussizejumpsuit · 19/12/2020 08:19

Well I'd be fucked because my boobs naturally touch a lot of chest skin as they're big and not particularly pert! 🤣

boymum9 · 19/12/2020 08:20

I can't have my legs touching in bed either, it drives me crazy and can't sleep!

OverTheRubicon · 19/12/2020 08:20

@FluffySocks75

I'm opposite
Me too. I love the feeling, especially if I've got newly smooth legs. So silky!

However if it's a heat wave I'm with you, grim.

Dilbertian · 19/12/2020 08:27

I have found my tribe! ROFL that those who think you're weird are totally outnumbered on this thread Grin

Popcorntoes · 19/12/2020 08:32

I think it's to do with hormone levels as it fluctuates for me.

ForestNymph · 19/12/2020 08:35

I don't mind my legs touching but I know what you mean. I hate not wearing a bra because I don't like my boobs touching my skin and I like to keep fairly slim due to not liking the feeling of anything touching. It triggered disordered eating in me so I try not to get too bothered by it but I know exactly what you mean

Meruem · 19/12/2020 08:39

I’m another one who uses a pillow in bed to separate my legs. Thought it was just me! I did however read that spine alignment is better if you have space between your legs rather than have them touching while sleeping.

It is much better for your spine! Its something my ballet teacher was an advocate of Grin Its another reason is sleep wrapped around a duvet. I used to suffer with awful hip pain and this has helped it.
FrogFairy · 19/12/2020 19:31

I never realised that so many people do the duvet between the legs thing. I thought it was just me being odd.

I also can’t tolerate feeling my breath on my skin so have to wear something even in the hottest weather.

Binglebong · 19/12/2020 19:42

Yep I'm the same. When it's really hot I sometimes sleep topless because I can arrange arms and hoobs just so they don't touch but can't be trouser less.
