The other two should’ve gone!

Felt quite sad and a bit awkward seeing Eamon & Ruth on This morning saying their goodbyes today.
So unfair, it’s the other two presenters who should be gone..hoping viewing figures will become apparent to the bosses.

Well no dear, the whole point is if you want to talk about TV, there's a very good forum for that. Which I'd be on of I wanted to talk about a TV show. Where I'm sure the op will find very like minded people.

They were let go due to viewing figures. I’m not sure why people still watch any of it, it’s boring.

Oh gosh, I'm sorry you're right. Let me answer you properly.

Absolutely jack shit will happen to their viewing figures. If anything, they will initially go up as people who are genuinely interested in a bit of a change/people who watch to have a good sneer will be added to the general viewing. Those who are grown ups may decide 'change is good' and keep watching. Those who don't, or realise they have literally anything better to do than watch This Morning (wash their hair/watch paint dry/realise Homes Under The Hammer is on the other side) will switch off. In the greater scheme of things, it literally will not matter for This Morning, ITV or (most importantly) for Schofield's ego. Hope that's a more useful opinion.

Right, so suggesting the tv forum may have better responses is wrong, and giving an opinion means I have to shut up. Very mature.

It's exactly what happened when Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston took over Heart FM, or Pierce Morgan on GMB, even Jodie Whittaker on Dr Who. Weeks of people moaning how unfair it was, and they'd stop watching, blah blah blah. Never affected anything in the end, did it. Shit changes in tv, it comes with the territory. They were never going to get rid of Schofield, and the show hasn't had much diversity week in/week out.

I cannot stand Eamon especially. They're not interesting to watch and Eamon is cringy at times. I dont watch on a Friday because of them and I'm clearly not the only one if they've got rid of them!

Shame for Ruth but I didn't think they were particularly good.

I just can’t quite believe anyone still watches any of this drivel...more scared that some prob think watching it makes them ‘informed’🙈.... but yes, on a human level, if I was asked if I preferred R&E to P&H I think I’d have to go for R&E....the other 2 are from a significantly more different, rather self absorbed, planet...difficult I know, but after the £ they’ve made they don’t give a 💩.

YABU. Eamon and Ruth are awful; he’s always moaning and she’s really boring. I specifically don’t watch their episodes.

Holly and Phil have personality and are watchable.

@emilyfrost Phil & Holly are up their own arses, giggling away with their own private in jokes, thinking they’re something, when they’re apparently pretty vile in ‘Real life’ E&R are professional and natural and it’s just a crying shame really
