We invited another couple for a quiet NYE (Cornwall) but I am worried we might be in a full lockdown by then anyway.
I told the wife (my friend / connection to the couple) who is really disappointed and seemed annoyed we wouldn't feel comfortable going ahead as it would leave them with no plans.
Followed up today to say she's bought a new dress and as it's only two households it will be fine.
Am I being a huge stick in the mud?
