Or am I being daft? Woke up yesterday morning with a pain that I thought was in my right tonsil. Tried to ignore it. Figured I was getting a cold. Woke up this morning and it's so much worse. My tonsil is fine and when I press in my mouth it's my soft palate that feels tender and bruised. It's hard to eat because it's so painful. Would I be daft to call the GP because my mouth hurts? Just doesn't feel like a normal sore throat...

If it’s painful to even swallow then I would. Palate hurting instead of throat itself sore isn’t something I’ve ever had. Any tooth issues? Temperature at all?
Hope you feel much better soon.

Pharmacy might be a good shout in the 1st instance or ask for a telephone app if they do them

I've been clenching my jaw a whole heap recently so my teeth do ache too sometimes.

It could be your sinuses, your teeth can often hurt with sinus pain.
