To not want to drive again

As I write this I realise I’m probably being ridiculous but I’m a bit shaken up!

Today I was driving home from the petrol station when all of a sudden white smoke started coming from under the bonnet of my car and it was jerking/shuddering a lot when driving. It was quite scary in general because I could barely see because of the smoke so I pulled over to the side of the road as the engine overheating light came on. It was outside a house but not blocking anyone in. As I was calling the insurance company to come and tow it away to the garage the owner of the house came out and kept yelling about parking outside his house (and proceeded to yell for the 45 minutes the tow truck took to arrive). As it turns out it was something to do with fuel injectors and bolts that caused the problem and the car should be ready to pick up tomorrow but as I sit here tonight I can’t think of anything worse than getting back in it now yet alone driving. I need to drive for work but I’m seriously stressing about it now 😪

You've had a shock and happened to come across a nasty person when you could have done with some sympathy and reassurance. I would gave given you a cuppa Flowers. Hopefully you'll feel better in the morning. Don't let it put you off driving. These things happen. Maybe get your car serviced if it's almost due to make you feel safer?
