I keep getting the blame for petty shit at work

I work part time on my own from a little room down a dingy corridor.

A note was left for me a few weeks back saying something about “put empty boxes in the bin, don’t just leave them around for everyone else to clean up”. I hadn’t! I’m pretty sure I’m the only person who actually bothers to go through the store cupboard and throw empty boxes away! Normally they’re just left on the shelf.

Anyway, I let it go. Today I was looking for some celetape and came across a box of chocolates ... a mostly empty box of chocolates in the drawer with the note attached “who ate them all??”. I feel this is aimed at me as I’m the only thats in here the most consistently. I didn’t even know they were there.

Getting fed up of it now. I don’t even know the other staff as I’m bank. I feel like I’m being talked about.

How do you know the notes are for you? Presumably they are for the person who left the boxes and are the chocolates, which wasn’t you.

I'd put my own note up saying it wasn't me
Actually I'd probably write a poem about it
May as well make it memorable 😁

I'd start responding with my own notes tbh!

'Who ate them all??'

It wasn't me

Sounds kinda freaky. Like the spirit of a pissed off office cleaner is haunting that small room

You sound paranoid, the note isn't aimed at you from what you have written.

Try to get to know the other staff if you feel isolated, making an effort works both ways.
