Do you hear a Mumsnet Voice?

Today I took my DS to the zoo. We were having a lovely time playing in puddles in quite a secluded area. A couple with their ds walked by and the Mumsnet Voice (in my head) accused me of performance parenting.

Later, dh made a comment about the firmness of my toad in the hole and all I could hear, again in my head, was chants of "ltb, ltb."

Anyone else?

I find myself thinking about the bun fights that would ensue over little things that happen, if I posted a thread about them.

Yes I often have this voice!

SheilaWilcox · 16/12/2020 00:32

I sometimes go to start a conversation with "Am I being unreasonable to......"

Whenever someone on here types ‘I wouldn’t dream of doing XYZ’, I always hear it in a very particular tone of voice. I mentally italicise dream and imagine Vic and Bob clutching at their handbags.
