Should I contact them myself?

DP has tested positive. He had a test yesterday and received the results today. We were told we'd be contacted by the Test and Trace but no one has been in touch.

We were at a restaurant on Sunday (before we had any idea that DP was positive). Would you contact them without waiting for the Test and Trace people to get in touch?

Can you call the number on the test paperwork and ask them?

Brakebackcyclebot · 15/12/2020 17:17

I would phone the restaurant in your position.

Hope your DHis OK.

You should have been given a code to put into the app; at least then anyone with the app who was in the restaurant at the same time should get a notification.

I would contact them- given the problems with the test and trace system. You could let them know sooner, which I'm sure will help them put their processes in place.
I hope your DP isn't too unwell with it

Thanks. We haven't been given a code so I'm just going to call the restaurant. Could we waiting forever for the test and trace!

People at the restaurant (or anyone else) don't have to isolate unless advised by test and trace. Also, unless you were within 2 m for 15 minutes, or 1 m for 1 minute, they won't need to isolate even if you were there at the same time. The restaurant have presumably set up their tables and staff to avoid this so it probably won't make any difference if you phone them.
