Feeling slightly unsettled

I think I am probably over thinking this because I’m a bit tired. I live on road that’s quite busy with traffic in the daytime in fairly big town.

I went to the shop at 10pm and noticed a car with what I think was a couple in it sitting outside a few houses down. Can’t quite see as it’s dark and my vision is terrible. They were blocking a drive but at that time it really didn’t matter. Didn’t think much of it.

They were still there when I came home twenty minutes later.

I’ve just looked out the window and they are still there now and it’s nearly 1am.

Probably just a young couple snatching some time together right? Just feels a bit odd. It’s not exactly warm out and their engine is off.

What would you think?

Hmm. Definitely weird. Given the pandemic I would wonder if it was some kind of clandestine encounter with the car being the only place they could go.

Maybe take a note of the number plate and call the non emergency police just in case?

They could be having an argument. Or could be sleeping in the car for some reason. I've done both!

CoffeeCreamandSugar · 15/12/2020 01:10

That’s the problem. They are pulled up quite close to my car so I can’t see the reg without going outside.

I’m inclined to agree with the clandestine encounter... but when I was younger it was more usual to sit in a McDonald’s carpark or something lol

I am most certainly over thinking this. I just went out after turning on all the lights in the hallway / livingroom etc and they’ve gone.

Off to bed I think!

It was probably my daughter and her boyfriend 😄. They work together and get covid tested 2x a week but can't be in each others homes as they're both in houseshares, and as regulations don't allow visitors, they sit in the car and watch TV on the phone.

I hope it was something like that. I did think about asking them If they wanted a hot drink but I thought I’d look barmy lol.

I’m sorry that your daughter has to do that though :( it’s not fair is it? I hope she won’t have to do that for much longer.

There’s just been quite a few local vans broken into recently and it’s all over the local FB groups.

Definitely overthinking! It was just the length of time. I hope you all sleep well.
