To think Anthony from The Royale Family should go NC?

Rewatching this on iPlayer for the first time in at least 10 years.

Poor Anthony, his family are absolutely awful to him! Treat him like a skivvy, are rude and abusive and constantly call him names. Expected to wait on them hand and foot and provide on tap babysitting while his family (well, mainly Jim and Denise) sit on their arses doing absolutely nothing. Yet he is constantly referred to as lazy and bone idle.

AIBU to think that if he were posting on MN he’d be urged to go NC and be pointed in the direction of the Stately Homes thread?

Things got marginally better when he moved away and made a success of his life, but not that much. There’s a very classic “golden child & scapegoat” situation going on with him and Denise.

Before anyone says anything, I know it’s only a tv show, but I can’t help but fee for poor Anthony

Yes, I always felt sorry for him. His family treat him like shit.

But I love the Royale family, up to series 3. I can't watch the later ones. The first 3 series are very comforting for me to watch.
