Covid and self isolating

Just needed to have a bit of rant... my sister was meant to drop a present off for my nephews birthday last week (we are in an area where we could meet at 2 metres distance) but in the end she didn't go because she had developed a cough and sore throat. I have just asked her if she is done self isolating and she said she hadnt been. She had been to work as usual (works in a big store) and i said did your teat come back negative? She said she didnt do one as "she didnt have the virus- it was just a cough and sore throat" 😠 im so angry at people with this attitude - she doesn't follow the news or pay any attention to what's going on regarding the virus and it just annoys me!

It makes me think how many other people just continue working with customers and people without consideration for the possibility they could have the virus...

On the other hand, I thought you were paid in full from your job if you have to self isolate when waiting for a test to come back but turns out you don't! So can sort of see why my sister didn't bother since she is on minimum wage and lives alone so has to pay her mortgage alone and would possibly struggle on SSP - personally i would find a way around that if it meant potentially saving a life but maybe the government should be making it easier for people to have time off if they are so bothered about everyone self isolating
