AIBU to still be considering/hoping for another DC?

I have one DS. He is the light of our lives. Had him at 39 after several miscarriages. I’ve since had two more miscarriages trying to DC2.

I’m days away from turning 43.

Not sure whether to give up (my body obviously struggles to make babies) - I’m knackered and lockdown has taken it’s toll on me MH wise. Or keep on for another year/try clomid.

I’d like 3.5 year old DS to have a sibling. He’d love one. And there’s this biological urge to have one more. Although I am very happy with just DS. He was hard won and I feel like the luckiest mum ever.

DH is early 30’s if that makes a difference.

Anyone here managed to have a second when you were 43+?

Ps I had so many tests etc re the recurrent mcs. I was diagnosed with a blood clotting issue but the medication prescribed only worked in my pregnancy with DS. Could have been just pot luck and he was a good egg in a plethora of defective ones...
