Can someone help me with a covid test ? 3 year old

My dd needs to have a covid test has anyone done a test on a 3 year old? Wondering if they need to do the throat and up the nose or just up the nose because of her age ?

I took my 3 year old daughter last week. You don't swab the back of the throat but do swabs up each nostril. Not pleasant but over with quickly and done by me. Just beware of them trying to snatch the swab!

She's fine and came back negative. Fingers crossed for your little one. X

I was told 3 and under you can do both nostrils instead of the throat. I'm in NI and we to do them ourselves in the testing centres if that makes a difference though.
