Woke up this morning to an uncomfortable sensation down there... I’d stupidly slept in a thing, so I don’t know if that’s what could have caused this?
It’s sore and itchy. It’s smooth, no head on it, and it’s between my ass and my lady bits. It’s the size of a very small pea and is the same colour as my skin
I’ve cropped the photo as best I could to spare anyone having to look at my fanny! In fact, I’ll only post the pic if anyone asks to see it

Could be a cyst, try a soak in a warm bath

yawnsvillex · 04/12/2020 23:18

Blocked hair follicle?

ChinChinPassMeTheGin · 04/12/2020 23:26

It could be a ingrown hair, I’m a beautician can I see the photo? I can advise you on what to use on it x

Miip · 04/12/2020 23:27

Hair follicle that's infected probably

2old2worry · 04/12/2020 23:30

You have been warned...

Bartholin's cyst?

2old2worry · 04/12/2020 23:31

Not the best photo! As I said, it’s smooth not bumpy. Ive lashed some sudocrem on it in the hope it fucks off by morning! I mean, could it be a wart? Dear lord, please don’t be a wart!

OP posts:
2old2worry · 04/12/2020 23:37

It’s here

I’ve had similar years ago. Is it painfully touch like a large spot with no head?

Notplannedforthis · 04/12/2020 23:41

Your pic doesn't really show anything clear enough to be sure but, given the way you describe it and the location, a Bartholin's cyst would be at the top of my list of differentials.

SlopesOff · 04/12/2020 23:42

Herpes that hasn't blistered yet.
Ingrowing hair.

2old2worry · 04/12/2020 23:45

@SlopesOff crikey, don’t say that!!
I’m leaning toward the cyst. Will book a gp apt for Monday

I’m sure it’s not a wart, it’s almost certainly a cyst (from an ingrown hair or just because.... ). Also TMI but I get a lot of cysts ‘down there’, always have had since my 20s. Some eventually recede on their own, others get reeeeaaaaally painful and then Eventually burst and drain. It’s not dramatic - they are usually about the size of a pea so not enormous - but can be disproportionately painful because of the number of nerve endings in that area.

This is definitely the least glamorous post I’ve ever written 😂

2old2worry · 04/12/2020 23:46

It’s right where my thong sits. I’m wondering if that’s been digging in while I was asleep?

OP posts:
Wereeaglesdare · 04/12/2020 23:47

It's most likely a batholins cyst, which is just when the mucous ducts get blocked just lots of warm baths and compresses if possible and get your Bridget Jonesz out or better yet go commando let the area breath it should go away. Get the sudocrem off its great for most things but maybe not for this. All else fails you might have to get it drained but most of the time they go away. Also just say no to thongs! There just plain uncomfortable! Hope it goes down soon.

2old2worry · 04/12/2020 23:47

@Time2change2 yes. Was yours a cyst?

OP posts:
2old2worry · 04/12/2020 23:48

I haven’t worn proper knickers in about 25 years!

I get these every month when I ovulate.
hot bath and squeeze

I haven't worn knickers for 25 years since getting a very painful cyst, and loved the fact I didn't have to worry about a knicker line!
MrsGRamsay · 04/12/2020 23:54

Thongs are bacterial super highways; think about it.

snugglepuff · 05/12/2020 00:02

It's probs an ingrown hair. These are soooo satisfying to pop!

Time2change2 · 05/12/2020 00:04

@2old2worry I never really got an answer for what it was- I left it for about a 3-5 days, it was sore. Then one day I felt something wet and going to the loo I discovered it had burst and stuff was draining out (sorry tmi)
After that it went away

Raffie13 · 05/12/2020 00:09

I've had one of these. Cleared up on its own after a couple days. Just keep the area clean and pat dry after a bath/shower.

I never saw a GP because it cleared but I believe it was a bartholins cyst as it looked like images online.
