My neighbours call each other this, loudly and it makes me wince but, I act heard myself calling my little dog Bubba yesterday! I really should move, shouldn't I?

It's a baby, a mum/mummy or a husband. Anything else is just hideously twee imo.

Not unreasonable at all. Also little one, hubs, hubster, famalam and so many more. As you can see I’m a very tolerant person. There’s a pram company called ‘Ickle Bubba’ - I could never ever buy from them!

When our first grandchild was born we called his grandfather ‘grumpa ‘. It’s since evolved into Bubba.

I like it.

I hate those Ickle Bubba prams. I literally pull a face every time I see the brand name and do a little internal scream.

I can't bear "doggo". It actually makes me want to punch someone.

@MaMisled I think we have the same neighbours. Mine even say it in anger ‘COME HERE NOW BUBBA!’ which confuses me when I always thought it was a term of endearment.

Bubba is just not baby friendly IMHO doesn't sound sweet in any way shape or form!😂 Totally agree it reminds me of Bubba Gump Shrimp!!!

Ha! I was just thinking this yesterday. Someone asked me how my “bubba” was I nearly did a sick in my mouth. My partner and I absolutely refused to buy anything for the baby made by “ickle bubba”

Don’t get me started on the grown women who are old enough to have sex and have a baby, but can’t bring themselves to say the word vagina and instead use “Mary” “foof” “down there” etc
