Three things have happened today which have made me happier than I have been in months. After DH business failed during lockdown he has secured a full time job doing something he loves which will start in the New Year.
Second thing is our boiler failed this morning but our landlord sorted an engineer straight away who worked until 9pm to fix it and the house is so much toastier now.
Finally we got a parcel today from one of DH former clients full of lovely Christmas treats.
I am feeling so full of gratitude right now.

Aw that's great!
After having a mental break down last week, the doctors have now adjusted my medication and I'm feeling much better this week. I am speaking to a new therapist tomorrow. I am grateful for that.

So glad you’re feeling better Butterball - I’ve had some very low moments these last few months and was on the verge of going to GP for help xx

Yay that sounds great!

I finally pulled on my big girl pants and arranged a carer for a relative. They are so much happier and it has only been a few days. I’ve put it off for ages because I struggled with it

@Whattheactual20201. Oh wow that's fabulous news!!! I'm all ears for any more details you're happy to share!!

@Upwiththisiwillnotput. I'm so pleased for you, & your DH!! Knowing he has a job to go to in the NY, hopefully he can make the most of the break (even with CV). Nice warm house & treats!!

@blubberball. Sorry to hear about your breakdown last week!! But pleased to hear you have beds & they're tweaking them!! Take care xx

I'm sorry I don't have anything interesting/newsworthy to share. Except I feel grateful to have the people & things in my life that I do have. I'm also grateful to have a referral appointment at the hospital this week for what my GP thinks is basal cell carcinoma (x2) I'm grateful fir being seen so quickly (though obviously no idea yet what the treatment will be like it when, or how many more sites there might be). Also grateful I think I'm seeing the specialist I saw previously (for something else).

I'd rather be cuddling a newborn though!!

I just came upstairs to find that my dd has changed my bed linen for me today whilst I was at work and she had an inset day - she knew I didn't have time yesterday Smile

Whattheactual20201 · 30/11/2020 23:58

Whattheactual you've known for less than a month?! Oh my goodness that must have been a lot to wrap your head around! Huge congratulations Flowers. That's some epic icing to make this year a whole lot better!
