I'm guessing that they might be selling them as a bit of a sex thing but they're like Victorian combinations for men which were basically a onesie in thick cotton like long jones but with a top to it as well and a flap for shitting. I've always wanted a pair (doubt I'd ever use the shithole, thobut), but the old ones, those look cheap and tacky.

Are they based on what old men wear in Western films - combinations - basically thermal underwear of the 19th century? Pretty sure I've seen them in loads of old films, usually worn by an old wrinkly cowboy/deputy who can't be arsed to put a shirt on. They are generally food-stained down the front I don't want to even THINK about what stains could be on the back! and taken off only for the annually bath in a muddy river. Flap at the back allows them to shit without undressing.

Can you tell my memory of old films will forever prevent this garment from being 'sexy' ?

I suspect this is a Chinese website and it is common for Chinese babies to wear babygrows with backflaps as they don't all wear nappies so the backflaps can be undone for when they are being held over a toilet/potty or whatever. Onesies are just adult babygrows so my guess is they've kept the backflap design as an homage. Either that or they're designed with those who enjoy a good buggering in mind.
