Help - newborn will only sleep downstairs!

Our newborn sleeps perfectly in her Moses basket downstairs during the day, but absolutely hates sleeping in our bedroom (in the same Moses basket) at night. She can't settle and cries as soon as we've put her down after feed and nappy change. But as soon as we take the Moses basket into the living room and sleep next to her on the sofa she's out like a light! Just wondering if anyone has any tips as she seems to hate our bedroom, but loves sleeping in the living room! 🙈

Have you tried a white noise machine?

A lot of babies are less settled at night. Hang in there

What are the differences? Eg Which room is darker / quieter? Is the basket on the same stand downstairs as upstairs?

There must be a reason!
Too cold
Dark/light
Noise - is there something plugged in that has a high pitched whine you can't hear?

She may just be crying because its unfamiliar rather than because anything is wrong. She will also sense your tension if its becoming an issue.Make sure she's tired, but otherwise leave her to settle.

Also, try putting her upstairs during the day so it's more familiar at night. Use a baby monitor so you don't need to worry about leaving her alone.

Probably likes being in the same room as you. So just put her to sleep downstairs and then carry her up when you go to bed

Hello, did you find a solution to this?
Me and my partner are having the same exact issue currently.

Thanks
