Pins and needles in my mouth

Does anyone know why I have just got this? Last week it was pins and needles in my hand for no reason. I've been getting sore heads recently but the doctor checked me over and just prescribed propranolol.
I'm otherwise healthy, 31, female non smoking non drinking size 10. I get really nervous when it comes to things like this. My mum died at 42 of a brain anyerism.

I had this a few years back numerous times and it turned out to be a vestibular migraine. Does that sound like something you could have ?

Peripheral neuropathy?

Helpimill · 28/11/2020 20:01

I did suffer with migraines with aura years back and it turned out to be because of my hormonal contraceptive. I've been getting alot of aura the last few months but no migraine, just an annoying sore head.

I'm not sure what Peripheral neuropathy is, I'll Google it.

You havent just had COVID have you? I'm just coming to the end of months of pins and needles following having COVID in March (I did have lots of other symptoms too).

Helpimill · 28/11/2020 20:05

I dont think I've had covid. I did have a bad cold after coming out of hospital when I had a parasite in October.

Have you had your B12 levels checked?

bearlyactive · 28/11/2020 20:09

You're not allergic to anything are you?

Cupcakegirl13 · 28/11/2020 20:10

Tingling mouth and hand are both symptoms of migraine , the headache would also suggest this.

Helpimill · 28/11/2020 20:13

I have low iron. Last time it was checked it was borderline at 25 in August.
Thanks cupcake girl. It's new symptoms for me so it's making me a but anxious.

I get migraines and get pins and needles in my hands and mouth. Don't always get a headache- sometimes don't get one at all. Given your history I'd say it's a likely possibility!

Sjl479 · 28/11/2020 20:24

I get pins and needles in my tongue with migraine.

40weekswithno2 · 28/11/2020 20:38

I'd say migraine too

Helpimill · 28/11/2020 21:24

Thanks for your replies. Glad its probably "just" migraine. Need to figure out what's causing them now 🙏

With a vestibular migraine you don’t necessarily get a headache with it. Just aura’s .
