Anxiety and stomach pain

Can someone advise please and thanks! How do you know if stomach and bowel pain are actually physical and not due to anxiety, I think I may have GAD with no particular worries but I am really pre occupied at the moment that I may have an issue with my stomach?
Sounds so silly when I wrote this down! TIA

I get stomach issues with anxiety, worse with long term anxiety/stress than periods of acute stress. It can be so bad that a bowl of cereal can trigger it.

At the time I'm usually convinced that I'm not stressed, but it always turns out that I am.

No clever way of working it out other than when the stress is eventually removed, stomach returns to normals. I'm sure someone wiser will come along to help soon

How long have you had the pain and is it manageable with pain killers? If in doubt, phone 111 if it’s unmanageable. If painkillers help, book a GP appointment. Physical symptoms can be caused by mental health issues, but it doesn’t mean you should have to put up with them.

I get this too. I've started taking CBD gummies which are helping. I never noticed a huge difference at first but looking back at the last few days I've felt a lot more positive and not had that knot of anxiety in my stomach.
