What is the poo bit supposed to be?

Well, more specifically, artisanly piped frosting

It was too thick like me

1. Make chocolate fondant poo.
2. Pop it in a dog poo bag (preferably clean)
3. Walk down the street, take a nugget out and pop in your mouth as someone walks past.

Bonus points if you have a dog to walk at the same time

I once made very pale pink cupcakes (with flat icing, not piped) and popped a nice pink jellytot in the middle to decorate.

You know some people would pay for a novelty cupcake that looks like poo!

Just smear the poo artistically and crumble up a biscuit and press half of it into the crumbs.

Add a bit of milk to the frosting loosen it up a little

Aw OP I’m sure you can find a way to rescue it (and I’m sure it tastes delicious!) Definitely second a PP’s tip to add a bit of milk/chocolate milk to loosen the icing so you can perhaps spread it a bit more on the cupcake? I had a tricky baking situation a couple of nights ago which Mumsnet also very helpfully solved for me (tried to make date and walnut bars, but the mixture was too wet, so I ended up rolling the mixture into balls instead and rolling them in oats and then chocolate).
