to ask for your Cinzano suggestions?

I was just doing some procrastination cleaning and I noticed the bottle of Cinzano that someone gave me for my birthday a few months ago. I’ve never tried it and not really sure what to do with it. Do you just drink it on the rocks? I would be grateful for favourite mixer suggestions, or even a (christmassy) cocktail.

I know I could google, but my procrastination brain decided this would be a good topic for my first ever thread!

Ooh I’m partial to a cinzano bianco with lemonade. Don’t really bother with the other ones (red and dry or something like that).
I’m sure somebody else will have a much more exciting mixer than my measly lemonade though.

I mix with gin over heaps of ice

I'd pour it down the sink and go buy a bottle of decent whiskey. You can';t even use it in a martini.

But if you insist on drinking it, here you go: www.cinzano.com/int/en/cocktails/

@andtheHossyourodeinon 😂 I do have a bottle of Ardbeg on the way, so I can drown out the taste if I hate it.

@Georgieporgie29 I think that is the classic way to drink it, and classics are classic for a reason, right? I will get some lemonade next time I go shopping.

@JaceLancs that sounds great, I might even try it this evening, thanks.

It is amazing in gravy / bolognese / sauces

I'd drink it with lemonade and a shot of elderflower cordial. Generally, I find it too sweet, and prefer dry martini.
