In need of some cheering up, please tell me a moment that makes you physically cringe to think about!

Bumping

I am terrible for remembering faces and work in a role that involves a lot of temporary staff, who work a shift here and a shift there. I've lost count of the amount of times I've introduced myself to a temp only to be told that I've already met them the previous month. Then they ask me how my kids are, whether I've finished watching whatever series on Netflix, and I gradually remember we'd worked for hours and chatted together. It's mortifying.

NC for this I once sent a very specific text about an intimate medical condition meant for my best friend to a famous musician I had, miraculously, just started dating. He completely ghosted me after that and I still physically cringe whenever I hear one of his songs on the radio, even though it was nearly 20 years ago! DH still delights in telling the story anyone who’ll listen

I went on a date with the most handsome man I'd ever met - how I managed to bag an evening with him is anyone's guess but he was wonderful. Funny, sweet, just the perfect date.

At the end he walked me to my car, went in for a kiss and I sneezed in his whole entire mouth.

I still haven't recovered regardless of the years that have passed and the fact that I went on to marry the man (I do judge his life choices in marrying the woman who sneezed in his mouth, in all honesty).
