Looking at getting a tv for my daughters room but she only really watches YouTube. We access it at the moment via sky q box but can you access it without the box on a smart tv? Cant afford another box. Thanks.

Could you get a chrome cast?

SchrodingersImmigrant · 18/11/2020 19:08

Yes you can. Make sure you check specs on the tv before buying

Mine does and it's a 5 year old non-snazzy model. They usually have Netflix, Youtube, Iplayer, All4 etc. already installed. Can also access the internet from it. All it needs is a wifi connection.

HappyChristmasTreeRex · 18/11/2020 19:14

Yes you can, you can also do so via your phone, which I find easier.

Most smart tvs will have the YouTube app, just get one with it. You just have to plug it in and put the wifi password in.

Still1nLove · 18/11/2020 19:30

If your smart TVs iPad the app and can connect to your WiFi then yes

Still1nLove · 18/11/2020 19:31

If your smart TV had the app and can connect to WiFi

Fab. So just buy one with the YouTube app and then I can connect it to the WiFi we have. Thanks so much.
