It’s terrifying
And on all the time
What has it got to do with beer?
And she dies. Terrified

Huh? It’s about sustainability I would imagine, looking after the planet etc she got killed by plastic in the sea.

BeneficiaryMadness · 17/11/2020 20:08

Maybe they aren’t using plastic anymore?

invalidnickname01 · 17/11/2020 20:09

I feel like they're very angry with us. How any of it ties in with beer I don't know.

That is what it’s about, but she drowns, it’s horrible

And it doesn’t make me want to buy their products. Advertising companies forget that a lot these days!

catsrus · 17/11/2020 20:19

I just came on to see if anyone had commented on this - I find it very disturbing. Really can't see the link with sustainability?

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 17/11/2020 20:19

I've never noticed she drowns .. just see her flailing around .. I don't 'watch ' ads though , they drive me nuts !

Joynot · 17/11/2020 20:23

I’d been Watching Hinterland and I thought it was part of the programme !
I get it, she’s drowning in plastic, but it’s still disturbing.
I like Estrella too

The first time that I watched it I assumed that she had had too much to drink, fallen in and drowned!! I couldn't understand why they would make an advert like that!

wizzywig · 17/11/2020 20:47

Its like that water advert in Zoolander

Arthersleep · 17/11/2020 20:48

Of course, it didn't help that they had to put a drink responsibly warning on the ad, before she drowned.

thegcatsmother · 17/11/2020 20:49

Using the medium of interpretive dance doesn't always make things obvious!

DaddysGirlForLife · 17/11/2020 20:49

I thought it was an entirely different advert until I saw the beer at the end. Scary.

Whatsyouremergency · 17/11/2020 20:52

The only thing that advert made me think of was how much water they use to make their beer and where do they get it from?

ThursdayLastWeek · 17/11/2020 20:52

Yes! I thought it was going to be an 'advert' for alcoholism/addiction awareness or services or something when I saw it the first time!

asdhelp123 · 17/11/2020 20:52

I hate this ad. We are very happy to sit and watch a woman dying but if it depicted a man dying, would it be more jarring? I think so. And the beauty and the romanticisation of the imagery of her death too....the whole thing raises my feminist hackles.
