I need to drastically lose weight in 2 weeks, advice?

wildroseandpink · 13/11/2020 15:55

Has anyone done this?
I'm a healthy weight but my body shape suits being 50kg and I'm currently 60kg (5'3)
I have gained 5kg over the past year or so - it used to be muscle as the special machines said but it has become fat in lockdown and my clothes look AWFUL.

I am going to be filming for a TV show (signed a confidentiality agreement, sorry) in 2 weeks and want to just lose a bit of roughage to suit my clothes. For example, my belly sticks out now which is largely bloat/water weight so want to get that down.

What can I do for 2 weeks?
I was thinking continue eating healthily for a week then no carbs for a week?
I am hoping to lose 2-3kg.

Follow the fast 800.

I lost 6kg the first week and have been averaging 1/2kg each week.

But I am a lot bigger than you and have considerably upped my activity level.

I’d personally do something like this for 3 days then eat really well/carb free for a few days and do it again.

You don’t have much time so whatever you pick needs to be drastic.

I am sameish size as you and lost 6lbs in two weeks doing low carbing together with 18:6 fasting, with lots of healthy low carb veggies and drinking 3lt water a day.

OK great - I haven't weighed myself recently as I've been eating normally so should have lost a pound or so (I had been away where I ate a lot!) since I last weighed.

So strict reduction of calories followed by no carbs just before? I am a monster without carbs so don't want to do it for too long.

One of Jason Vale juice or blend plans. They're great as a reset and shed weight fast. I do them a couple of times a year for a week or two and typically lose 6 - 10 lb. (Have a look at Super Juice Me documentary on YouTube or Amazon Prime).

thetrees · 13/11/2020 16:10

Mumsnet low carb bootcamp would do this

heidbuttsupper · 13/11/2020 16:15

Fast 800 18:6 is amazing

hollyhope · 13/11/2020 16:24

I've known new members lose this amount in their first week on Slimming World, but maybe you won't have time to join up, etc: I don't know what that involves.
I'm sure PPs' suggestions are good ones: pick one and stick to it!

Wishihadanalgorithm · 13/11/2020 16:26

Definitely do the Fast800. As you don’t have much to lose you probably won’t see a truly drastic loss but I am sure you will see enough. Good luck.

AwaAnBileYerHeid · 13/11/2020 16:29

Honestly, atkins/low carb. The fat will melt away, fast!

TheMamaYo · 13/11/2020 16:46

Another vote for fast 800. It works. I am just gearing up to do it myself again. Results the last time was very good.

Good luck and enjoy the filming.

Poppyismyfavourite · 13/11/2020 17:19

stretchy holding-in pants?

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 13/11/2020 17:21

Fast 800, but don't be tempted to add exercise now.

38weekswithno2 · 13/11/2020 17:26

Definitely fast 18:6 can work well. Basically skip breakfast and don't eat after dinner. Have protein heavy meals but I wouldn't skip on carbs completely.
The first 3 days you'll feel crap and then it's much easier.
Drink lots of water and perhaps take some water balance tablets.
I wouldn't bother starting an exercise regime just now, it won't make any different in the next 2 weeks except make you hungry.
Think about exercise for long term goals rather than this short term one.
2-3kg is possible, it may not stay off long term though.

Can you find someone with norovirus? I lost half a stone in five days and I’m a similar weight to you.

Wouldn’t recommend it, but was remarkably effective - weirdly I also had the clearest skin ever afterwards.

😬

If not, the only thing that works for me is metabolic confusion - higher carb and no carb days alternating.

Fast 800 what everyone said

It'll melt offa ya 😁

Lookingoutside · 13/11/2020 17:41

Lighter life or Exante.

Just forget that food exists for the next 2 weeks.

banking · 13/11/2020 17:42

Eat at a calorie deficit and do lots of exercise eg running!

I love my Apple Watch as I can keep track of everything

LadyHalesBroach · 13/11/2020 17:44

Saxenda injection - falls off x

ParisianLady · 13/11/2020 17:44

Fasting. Ideally 4:3. Low carb. No sugar.

And then add something like 30 day shred.

I reckon I could lose 4-5kg if I did both those things properly for 2 weeks

If only social distancing rules didn’t exist Grin

Sign up to dropit 21. On Monday they are starting a 14 day programme. It is a no carb, no sugar type diet - you will lose the weight.

Thecherryontheverytop · 13/11/2020 17:57

Not helpful but the only time I lost weight that quickly was eating some dodgy street food in a third world country..didn't get off the toilet for two weeks after but I kid you not my legs looked rhe best they've ever looked afterwards.
