Enrolled in college to add to my skills as have been struggling to find work after being off work for about a year due to mental health issues but have had to give it up as just can't cope due to childcare issues and my depression.

There were constant issues applying for student funding via the college website and took 3 attempts to get the application through after about two months. Meantime my case worker kept asking for student funding info but obviously had none to show as hadn't even got past the first hurdle.

NOW they've suspended my payments till I submit evidence of my withdrawing from the course which I now have and have asked my caseworker THREE times to give me a link to upload it but she hasn't done that so far and takes 24 hrs to reply to my messages. So this is now going on 5 days that I've been trying to sort this out.

Calling the "customer service" helpline is pointless all they do is refer me back online.

Would i be unreasonable to go to my local jobcentre to get things moving and show them my evidence even though they're not doing face to face meetings?

I doubt they'll let you in the door due to most case workers working from home and social distancing in the office. But if it makes you feel better to try, you have nothing to lose taking a walk there.

What are your childcare issues OP? In my experience money problems make any MH situation a lot worse - it's an obvious thing to say, but when a decent income is the only thing that makes you feel secure, we need to prioritise getting to that goal.
Maybe you could post on the employment board for help with your CV, applications, job hunting etc? There are some very knowledgeable people on there.
