To ask for advice re Christmas present etiquette with teachers

DD has recently began attending a really lovely little preschool. She is my eldest child so I have no experience of thr etiquette around Christmas present buying for teachers.
I was thinking a big tub of biscuits/chocolates for the (small) team, and maybe a poinsettia etc for her key worker and favourite teachers? Is this ok?!
Or do you think more chocolate or alcohol would be better? Or something completely different?

Our school have said no cards or gifts this year so I wouldn’t buy anything just yet as you could find they have the same stance .
In normal times you can’t go wrong with tins of stuff they can share but maybe not the plants as it’s just something extra to look after !

Don’t give them anything you’ve made yourself - apparently it gives them a conniption!

I’d give vouchers, myself.

I wouldn’t go with alcohol as a lot of people don’t drink, or at least don’t drink “that” so unless you know what they like and don’t, it’s a minefield. I personally really dislike chocolate as I hate the taste and texture so although it’s seen as a safe go-to gift, I couldn’t think of anything worse. Amazon voucher? You’d be putting the decision in their hands.

They might not be allowed to share treats this year due to Covid so I wouldn't go down the 'big box of chocolates' road. In normal times it's a good call.

Don't think I'd do a plant personally. Voucher, bunch of flowers, thermos etc instead. And a heartfelt card/letter (or email cc'ing the boss) is best of all.

If it has to be a gift I’d probably like something like: a nice candle (not Yankee!); a nice hot chocolate kit; a bag of Whittard’s tea; a Costa gift card.

Something like that.
